Knitted with extra-fine merino wool from the heart of Italy, this sweater combines weekend comfort with sophistication. The name "Isla" means "island" and is a female name which comes from Scottish lore about an ancient princess.
The sweater is elegantly oversized and tunic-length. The collar falls in soft folds around the neckline. Dropped shoulders, fitted sleeves, and a loose tunic bodice with side slits add unique personality. Each sleeve cuff is detailed with three, hand-sewn, crested buttons from a tailoring shop in New York City. Though most wool can feel irritating, extra-fine merino wool ensures you can wear this piece directly against the skin without discomfort.
The model is wearing: size Small (with fitted sweaters, the model wears a size medium)
Garment circumference measurements (the tunic bust, waist, and hip measurements are all the same):
Small: 45" around
Medium: 47" around
Large: 49" around
Why wear merino wool?
Merino wool is excellent at holding its shape and its color (the colors are typically rich and vibrant). Good bacteria in the fibers help to self-clean the wool, reducing the frequency the garment must be washed. It is thermoregulating, carbon neutral, biodegradable, and a sustainable choice for clothing.

Care
Hand wash with gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry. Gentle iron, if needed.
This garment is not knitted from machine washable wool. Machine washable merino wool is treated with a heat resistant plastic that cracks over time as the garment is laundered. Machine washing can also cause the sweater to pill faster and lose shape more quickly. Hand-wash only wool was chosen for this garment to ensure a long lifetime.
